What Your Support Creates

Every contribution helps create meaningful opportunities for individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and feel connected within their community. Your support also helps provide families with dependable programs and resources they can count on.

  • More dignity through choice: Participants can engage in work and activities that fit their strengths.
  • More community: A place where friendships grow and people feel known.
  • More confidence: Skill-building that supports daily life.
  • More support for families: Reliable, meaningful programming that helps caregivers too.

What Makes Our Farm Different

Who We Are

Taking Root Farms exists to expand what’s possible for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities—through a program that’s practical, joyful, and rooted in human dignity.

Our Program

At Taking Root Farms, participants aren’t numbers—they’re individuals with unique talents, preferences, and strengths.

Serving 18+

We welcome individuals 18 and older who are high school graduates. Because of the uniqueness of our services, many of our farmers may continue with us for considerable lengths of time.

Meaningful work, enjoyable recreation, relationship building, and life-skills development all play a vital role in overall growth and well-being. Through purposeful tasks, they build confidence and skills, while leisure opportunities offer wellness and fun.
